My name is Matthew Linzmeier, and I'm a non-denominational, registered officiant with the Universal Life Church residing and performing in New York, New York.

Fee: $300

I've officiated dozens of ceremonies to date and have no intention of slowing down. I come from a family of officiants and wedding photographers, who know weddings and take tremendous pride in what they offer.

It's important to me that my couples feel that they truly own their ceremony, and I am more than willing to work with you to identify and meet your specific needs. Your wedding is a celebration and should be full of laughter, hugs, kissing, and dancing. I want to do my part to make it happen.

I currently reside in Brooklyn and perform in all the five boroughs. However, I may be willing to travel to officiate your wedding if you discuss with me the details of your wedding and accommodations.

If by any chance you're searching for an officiant to perform in any sort of unconventional or outrageous ceremony (skydiving, Star Trek, etc ...) - I'm in. Your hunt is over.

Please feel welcome to contact me for more information and a copy of my ceremony template.

Coming from a family of officiates and wedding photographers, it seemed only a matter of time before I became one or the other myself -- my mother had me ordained and lined me up clients before I ever had a say in the matter! My first ceremony took place in California in the October of 2007 and I've performed dozens since in backyards, beaches, parks, restaurants, a prison, and even on a reality television show. I truly enjoy my regular role in one of the most important days of my couples' lives, and strive to make their specific visions come true.

I'm a man of many passions, with pursuits including, but not limited to: backpacking, film theory, vegan cuisine, photography, improvisational comedy and coaching it to high school students, teaching English to immigrants, brewing beer, and bicycling. I'm devoted to Trader Joes in a way that's practically religious, I won my car in a video game contest sponsored by Nintendo, and I have the most thoroughly organized iTunes you've ever seen.

My second home is the road. I'm not sure I've ever felt more alive than when I was making friends in European hostels or in the ten weeks I spent road-tripping the U.S. -- an excursion that led me to my new love and home, New York City.

Please fill out my contact form, including the date, time, and location of your ceremony, and I will be happy to contact you with further information. I may also be reached at WeddingsbyMatthew@gmail.com.
